Imam Ali (A.S) Has said "Don't be ashamed if the amount of charity is small, because to refuse the needy is an act of greater shame" The Behlool Society is running The Imam Ali Appeal in collaboration with the British Red Cross as a charity event during the holy month of Ramadhan.
We are not collecting money but instead are collecting foods and household goods which will be distributed to the less fortunate brothers and sisters in Leicester.
All are requested to take part in this worthy cause, and the 3 main categories are:
Category 1: Tinned, Package Sealed and other Non-perishable Foods e.g. Heinz beans, Soup, Noodles, etc.
Category 2: Toiletries e.g. Shampoo, Soap, Toothbrush, etc.
Category 3: Baby Products e.g. Nappies, Wipes, Baby Foods, etc.
The drop off point for all is -
Al Zahra Centre (Masjid al Husayn outbuilding) every single day during Ramadhan between 8pm and 9pm. If you can not arrange drop off please contact us as it may be possible for us to collect from you. If you are outside Leicester but would like to take part in this appeal, you can make a donation to the Behlool Society and we will purchase items on your behalf.
We would urge you all to please take part, no matter how little/large your gift is, it will come in handy for our brothers and sisters. We will be distributing all items collected towards the end of Ramadhan, along with a full report and pictures which will follow. We have an empty van at the moment which Insha'Allah with your support with be overfilled with your donations!
